Specially commissioned art sculpture in stainless steel
When I design a personal sculpture,  I like to form an impression of the person's character by discovering the source of their energy.  For, like most things there’s an inherent shape to a person's energy.

This sculpture is an excellent example.  The lady and her husband came to see me at the studio and view some of my creations.
While we were talking, the ideal form for their piece developed as an image in my mind.  It must have seemed as though I was absorbed with my scribbling but when I had finished, she found it absolutely fascinating.  I knew I had made a connection and was able to created this very personal form for her garden.

I didn’t know what their garden was like, or much about them  but I discovered them to be wonderful people - the energy emerging from them fitted the design.  When we placed it in the garden she was over whelmed because of the close connection she felt to the form.

It was a very personal piece; it’s the way I like to work.  If possible, I prefer to meet the person for whom the sculpture is intended and see the location, usually the garden, where it will be situated. That way I can create a personal piece for an individual, which will harmonise with the energy of the owner and enhance the energy of the location.

As you can see, this sculpture is quite tall.  So, not only is the surrounding foliage reflected but, as you approach, viewing an infinite number of images, look upwards.  As you get closer, you see an increasing amount of the sky as the upper section seems to turn sky blue.  So peaceful.
